April Showers Bring Tulips and UFO’s ?

This month marks the start of many things associated with spring: Flowers! Baseball! Outdoor fun! Looking for something different to do in April? Why not check out the Burien UFO Festival happening on April 1st. Flying saucers, alien costume contests, films and live music? What’s not to love about that? The famous Skagit Valley Tulip Festival officially begins on April 1st, but thanks to our unusually warm winter and early spring, the tulips are expected to make an early arrival. Make plans to go visit the valley early this month to enjoy hundreds of acres of blooming tulips, daffodils and irises. Check the bloom map for updates. The Seattle Mariners home opener is set for April 6th. This year the M’s are expected to do great things, so don’t miss an opportunity to come see them in action and get a big helping of Safeco’s famous garlic fries!
