SAM Remix at the Olympic Sculpture Park : Fri Aug 27 8-Midnight

The Olympic Sculpture Park is the year ‘round outdoor art installation of the Seattle Art Museum. This Friday night this waterfront sculpture park hosts the Seattle Art Museum’s quarterly art party SAM Remix. This party includes talks and performances by Trenton Doyle Hancock, Truckasaurus, I Heart Shiva, and many others. KEXP Free Concerts at the Mural : Fri Aug 27 6-11pm

Each summer local listener-supported radio station KEXP teams up with Seattle Center to present a series of free concerts on summer evenings at the Mural Amphitheater at Seattle Center. This Friday the set includes Mt St Helen’s Vietnam Band, The Head and the Heart, and Yuni in Taxco. KEXP DJs will be spinning between sets, and the beer/wine garden will be open all evening. Seattle’s Capitol Hill Gets MadArt : Aug 12 – Sep 12 : Plus the outdoor movie “Candleshoe” at 9PM

Six artists have installed their sculptures in Capitol Hill’s Cal Anderson park for a month. The organization MadArt organized the installation, with the goals of supporting emerging artists and bringing art into our lives in unexpected ways. Preview the exhibit at MadArtSeattle.com. View the art any time, but be at the park by 9PM on Friday evening with a blanket to watch Jodie Foster in the 1977 Disney classic “Candleshoe”.
